The house we now live in was empty for a couple of years before we bought it. It was in a really bad state with moths in all the carpets, all the double glazing had blown seals, the garden was so overgrown, you could have made a Tarzan film in it and it was very 80's on the inside with most walls and tiles done in pink. We had two burst pipes on Christmas day so had to keep turning the water off. Bit of a nightmare really. It needed new everything. Fence, Garden, Kitchen, Bathroom, Shower Room, Carpets, Curtains, Decorating throughout, and a lot lot more. The front dining room was originally the integral garage but that was done before we bought it. It took a couple of years to do it up on the cheap, cos every house is only worth so much, in the area it is in. It's ok though. I was given the 1950s rowing boat free gratis by my old neighbour of 45 years ago who I keep in touch with. I restored a lot of it and converted it into a garden seat. I built the conservatory in 2018 with a lot of help from a couple of neighbours and a couple of friends.
